Let me explain....
The cat is pissing in my plants. I thought at first it was my lack of watering that was killing them. But hey, they've gone weeks without water and have always done just swell. That's when I caught him-red handed.
He jumped up on the rim, and copped a squat. And if you didn't already know it, cat piss ain't exactly good for the plants.
I'm at a loss. I don't know how to stop the squatting.
I do know however, this is very bad feng shui.

ah ha ha ha! i FEEL your pain! my cat did the same thing and the only thing i could do to stop him was to cut a ring of chicken mesh and put it around the trunk of the tree. trust me... they DO NOT like to stand on that chicken wire. ;)
My cat used to do this when I was a kid ... I understand the want to abuse the little furry animal! I also had a cat that pissed on everything, from my couch about 200 times to the bed to my pillow, my clothes, my jacket, anywhere she wanted, then she took a little trip to the animal shelter and hopefully lived happily ever after!!
My dad put those lava rocks on top of the soil in the pot ... the cats never pissed in there again .. lava rocks are like a dark brown umm like the size of half a lemon? who knows if anyone else in the world calls those lava rocks :)
It may also help to put chili powder on the plant and the dirt. However, I would first put the plants outside for a few days and water them good so the pee smell can fade. Oh, and make sure his/her box is as clean as possible so he/she won't be looking for other places. Hope that helps!
